This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, which processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Each visit leaves an entry in the server log — IP address, user agent, the page requested, status and time — deleted after seven days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is the secure operation of the website.

We compare two versions of some pages. The server picks the one you see from a checksum of your IP address and user agent; it is neither stored nor written to your device. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is improving the website.

The contact form opens your email program with your message; this website stores none of it. We keep your email until your enquiry is settled. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is answering your enquiry.

Strictly necessary: this website stores your cookie decision itself (heide_consent_v1, in local storage, with its time), so the banner does not return on every visit. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Only with your consent it stores:

• Audience measurement: a pseudonymous device ID (heide_analytics_device_id, in local storage), with which we evaluate the use of this website. The events name what you open and click, with time, session, website version, user agent, language and the versions you see; the first of a visit also the page you came from and campaign details from the address (UTM). They go to our own statistics server at Hetzner; no other provider receives them. They carry no name and are deleted after 14 months; encrypted backups of the database are kept for one month at BorgBase.
• A kept version: a cookie (heide_v, 90 days), so you see the same version of a page on your next visit.

The legal basis is § 25(1) TDDDG with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future under Datenschutz-Einstellungen at the foot of every page; we then remove the ID and the cookie from your device. Without consent, none of this is stored. No advertising cookies are used.

This website uses TLS encryption for security.

This website links to third-party websites. We have no influence over their content and accept no liability for it.

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR) and to withdraw a consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR); the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal remains unaffected.
